Girl Up, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, gives American girls the opportunity to channel their energy and compassion to raise awareness and funds for programs of the United Nations that help some of the world’s hardest-to-reach adolescent girls.
Through Girl Up’s support, girls have the opportunity to become educated, healthy, safe, counted and positioned to be the next generation of leaders. Campaign supporters are encouraged to give a “High Five” to girls in developing countries by donating $5 or more to provide girls with such basic needs as access to school supplies, clean water, life-saving health services, safety from violence and more.
Ahn So Hee (Korean: 안소희; Chinese: 安昭熙; Japanese: アン・ソヒ; born June 27, 1992), commonly known by her stage name Sohee, is a South Korean idol singer, actress, dancer, model and MC. She is a member of the popular South Korean girl group Wonder Girls, which debuted under JYP Entertainment in 2007.
Sohee was born on June 27, 1992. She was the youngest member of the Wonder Girls until the addition of Hyerim, who is only a few months younger than Sohee. She attended Changmun’s All Girls High School. She spent 2 years training to become a part of the Wonder Girls.
Sohee was selected through auditions and at the age of 12, she became a JYP trainee. During her pre-debut, Sohee and other two members Yeeun and Sunmi performed a cover of Janet Jackson's "Together Again". In 2007, Sohee made her debut with the Wonder Girls, a girl group managed by JYP Entertainment, with the single "Irony", as the lead dancer and vocalist of the group.[2]
In early 2008 she starred in her first movie “Hellcats (I Like It Hot)” and most recently guest starred in the sitcom Here He Comes (also known as That Person is Coming). On June 25, Sohee was sidelined for a month after tearing a knee ligament in a fall from a running motorcycle during the filming of her movie Hellcats (also known as I Like It Hot). The remaining four members continued performing until late July.
In 2012, Sohee with her fellow members acted in The Wonder Girls Movie. This was their first movie in U.S .
She is also an accomplished model, which she has shown great interest in both acting and modeling outside of Wonder Girls. She has done all of this while attending her classes at Changmun’s All Girls High School. When it comes to modeling, Sohee has been featured in various fashion magazines, including Numero, Vogue[3][4], Elle Girl[5][6], COSMOPOLITAN[7][8], CeCi[9][10], Dazed & Confused[11][12], Oh Boy![13][14], Marie Claire and W[15].
In 2011, Sohee has been chosen as one of the faces of Lancome’s newest cosmetic line, “Visionnaire.” She was complimented by Lancome staff, who noted that she was “naturally confident,” and used a “variety of stunning facial expressions,” as well as for the maturity she displayed while filming.[16][17]
Beginning of 2012, Sohee along with DBSK Yunho, 2PM Nichkhun, f(x) Sulli, actress Lee Min Jeong, actor Jang Hyuk, Park Joong-Hoon & Ahn Sung-ki participated in the Good Download campaign.
Later this year, Sohee will take part in her latest pictorial for the famous international make up brand "MAC". On the 15th, the brand released a couple of photos of Sohee modeling for their product. Sohee’s first look for MAC is “sexy and mature” with her hair loose and framing her signature flawless skin, thick and cat-like eyeliner, and chic, peachy-orange lipstick. Her second look flips her image to ‘innocent and cute’ with her hair tied up and pale pink cheeks and lips as the highlight. The staff for the photoshoot were in awe when she arrived on set with a clear and spotless bare face. Her make-up artists even revealed that she only needed a bare minimum amount of cover-up before shooting began.[18]

Seo Joo-hyun (born June 28, 1991), who uses the stage name Seohyun, is a South Korean idol singer, dancer, actress, TV presenter and promotional model. She is the youngest member of the Korean girl group Girls' Generation.
Seohyun was born on June 28, 1991, in Seoul, South Korea. As an elementary school student, Seohyun was discovered by a talent staff while riding in a subway train, who encouraged her to audition for SM Entertainment. In 2003, Seohyun auditioned and joined the company under the SM Casting System. She is known for singing children's songs for her audition unlike other applicants who usually sing pop and dance songs.[4] She attended Seoul Middle School and Daeyoung High School, then transferred to Jeonju Arts High School, from which she graduated on February 9, 2010. She currently attends Dongguk University[5][6] with fellow Girls' Generation member, Yoona, majoring in acting. She is also an accomplished pianist.
In 2010, Seohyun was appointed by the Seoul Metropolitan Office as Korea's Goodwill Ambassador for Student Fitness.[7] In 2012, Seohyun was appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nation 2012 Yeosu Expo.[8] On October 11, 2011, Seohyun was inaugurated as a UNICEF envoy at Changseong-Dong, Seoul. In the past, Seohyun has worked with UNICEF for the “Help Children in Africa” project.
In 2007, Seohyun was chosen as a member of the group Girls' Generation. The 9-member girl group debuted on August 5, 2007.
In 2012, Seohyun, along with fellow Girls' Generation members Taeyeon and Tiffany, formed a sub-unit called TaeTiSeo. The trio released their first album titled "Twinkle" on April 30, 2012.
Seohyun released various singles with Jessica and Tiffany — the first called Oppa Nappa (Korean: "오빠 나빠", Bad Older Brother)[10] and the second titled Mabinogi (It's Fantastic!), a theme song for a video game.[11]
On February 17, 2009, Seohyun sang a duet with trot singer Joo Hyun-mi called JjaRaJaJja (Korean: "짜라자짜").[12] The song earned a nomination at the 2009 M.net Asian Music Awards for Trot Music of the Year.[13]
She sang the song S.E.O.U.L with Super Junior's Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Sungmin and Donghae and fellow Girls' Generation members Taeyeon, Jessica, Sooyoung and Sunny. She also sang the promotional song for Caribbean Bay with her fellow members Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Sunny, and members of the boy band 2PM.
She sang MBC drama Kim Soo Ro's official soundtrack, entitled, It's Okay Even If It Hurts (Korean: 아파도 괜찮아요), which was released on June 25, 2010.[14]
In October 2010, Seohyun was one of the twenty idols from different South Korean groups that recorded the song, Let's Go, for the purpose of increasing public participation in the 2010 G-20 Seoul summit. She provided vocals along with labelmates Sungmin, Jonghyu and, Luna.[15]
In 2011, she was a featured artist in TVXQ's fifth studio album, Keep Your Head Down with the song Journey. The song Journey also became the official soundtrack for the drama series Paradise Ranch.[16] On October 11, Seohyun released a digital single "Dreams Comes True" together with Donghae for 2011 Asia Song Festival. This was a project by UNICEF, as the profit was donated to East Africa .[17] On the October 25, 2011, Seohyun released a digital single together with Kim Hyun Joong entitled The Magic of Yellow Ribbon, which became the theme song of the commercial The Face Shop.
On February 13, 2012, Seohyun and Brown Eyes' singer Yoon Gun released a duet called Don't Say No.[18][19] On April 16, 2012, Seohyun sang the soundtrack for the SBS drama Fashion King, which starred fellow Girls' Generation member Kwon Yuri, with the song entitled I'll Be Waiting.
